The 2024-2028 ÇOMÜ Strategic Planning Team Meeting and Workshop was held in the Rectorate Senate Hall. The meeting was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. R. Cüneyt Erenoğlu, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Dinçay Köksal, representatives from academic units, departments, and centers, forming the planning teams.

In the meeting, Rector Erenoğlu emphasized the significance of the 2024-2028 strategic plan in defining ÇOMÜ’s mission, vision, goals, and objectives, and in outlining the roadmap to achieve these targets. He stated:

“We highly value the participation of all our stakeholders in the preparation of this plan. Therefore, in future meetings, our strategic planning team will include a wide range of participants comprising academics, administrative staff, students, and alumni. Our university's strategic plan will be our roadmap to achieving the goals we have set in the areas of education, research, societal contribution, and institutional management. In this context, the strategic planning team will start working to analyze the internal and external environment of our university, identify its strengths and weaknesses, and determine future opportunities and threats.”

Rector Erenoğlu expressed that this meeting aimed to shape the strategic planning team's efforts and to set the preparatory program for the strategic plan. He added, “Focus groups will work on vision, mission, core values, goals, and objectives, directly contributing to the development and updating of our strategic plan.” He concluded by wishing the meeting to be beneficial for ÇOMÜ.
