Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (ÇOMÜ) hosted the "Face2Face with the Rector" event at the Necip Fazıl Kısakürek Hall of the Faculty of Fine Arts. Participants included Rector Prof. Dr. R. Cüneyt Erenoğlu, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Dinçay Köksal and Prof. Dr. Evren Karayel Gökkaya, Rector Advisor Lecturer Mustafa İlker Gülcemal, Director of Institutional Communication Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Emre Bilis, Deputy Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Onur Tatar, academics, and students.
During the event, following presentations by Dean of Students Prof. Dr. Bülent Güven and Student Quality Commission President Beyza Hamdiye Güner, Rector Prof. Dr. R. Cüneyt Erenoğlu addressed the audience:
"Today, I am honored to be here with you, the new hopes, new voices, and new representatives of Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University. I have complete confidence that through your active participation in the management and decision-making processes of our university, we will work together to build a brighter future. The Student Senate is one of the most important democratic bodies of our university. Through this senate, you will voice the opinions, demands, and ideas of your fellow students, playing a significant role in shaping our educational and teaching policies. During your tenure, you may face many challenges and obstacles. However, I know that you possess the knowledge, skills, and most importantly, the belief and determination to overcome these challenges.
Remember that Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University will always support you and be by your side. I urge you to always stand by your fellow students, strive to protect their rights and interests, and generate ideas and projects that will contribute to the academic and social atmosphere of our university, making it even better and more developed. On this occasion, I congratulate you all, wish you success in your duties, and believe that together we will take Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University even further."
The event concluded with a theatrical performance by actor Abdülkadir Katra, depicting a brief scene from the Gallipoli Campaign, followed by a Q&A session.
