The Continuing Education Center of Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (ÇOMÜSEM) has been accredited by the Turkish Accreditation Agency (TÜRKAK) according to the TS EN ISO/IEC 17024/2012 standard. This accreditation covers Personnel for Photovoltaic Power Systems (Level 5), Personnel for Wind Power Systems (Level 5), and Personnel for Biogas Plants (Level 5). This brings ÇOMÜSEM one step closer to its goal of providing certification in these fields within the region.

Under the "Renewable Youth Energy" (RE-You) Project, which is conducted by the Southern Marmara Development Agency (GMKA), and with Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University and Balıkesir University as project partners, 480 young individuals aged 18-29 will be certified in renewable energy sectors. This project is implemented within the scope of the Operational Programme for Human Resources Development of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security and is financed by the European Union's Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA). Training will be provided in three energy systems: wind, photovoltaic, and biogas, equipping participants with the necessary qualifications for employment in the renewable energy sector.
